2023 1 oz Platinum Year of the Rabbit Coin – Lunar Series III
Platinum coins are part of the most successful coin collections, which aim to offer diversity to investors and collectors. The Lunar Rabbit platinum coin adds a unique touch for any collector.
The Australian Perth Mint is one of these mints, which offers a diversified catalog of products made of platinum. Its Lunar Series III comprises gold, silver, and platinum coins in several sizes and finishes.
The Lunar Series III reaches its 4th edition using the Chinese Zodiac as a motif. The series has showcased the Ox, the Mouse, and the Tiger in previous years. As 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit, this is the animal stamped on the reverse side.

The Design
The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II in a Jody Clark Portrait that dates back to 1998. The inscriptions engraved around the image describe the Queen’s name, the coin’s weight, metal content, purity, origin, and face value through the words: “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA,” “1 oz 9995 Pt”, and “100 DOLLARS.”
The Rabbit’s design is on the reverse side. The image depicts a leaping rabbit in the grass and feathery plumes. The “P” engraved corresponds to the Perth Mint mintmark. A Chinese symbol for rabbit and the inscription “RABBIT 2023” complete the image. We hope you enjoy the lunar rabbit coin series.
